About Us
Age-Friendly Solutions, a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, has been established to finance the Age-Friendly Intergenerational Center. This includes, but is not limited to, program development, outreach efforts and supporting the needs and services necessary to ensure the quality of life for all ages through the development of intergenerational policies and programs.
Marin County's population of older adults is increasing at a rate far surpassing the national rate for this age group. Older adults 60 and over comprise approximately 23% of Corte Madera's population and the California State Department of Finance predicts significant increases in Marin County's elderly population as the baby boom generation ages. We expect intergenerational activities will have a profound, positive effect on the seniors as well as our Town's youth and residents of all ages.
Age-Friendly Solutions works independently as well as collaboratively with other organizations to meet our goals to further intergenerational practices. We are continually developing outreach strategies to effectively inform our residents of programs, activities and services available to them.
Ultimately, the ambitious vision of Age-Friendly Solutions is to form a public-private partnership to build an Intergenerational Center, critically needed in our Town. Such a center would provide classrooms, recreational and social spaces for all ages, a true community center.
